Trader Joe’s

I’ve had the pleasure of working part-time as a store sign artist for the self-described “Unique Grocery Store” since 2007. The work is old-school pastel chalk, markers, and acrylic paints. It’s messy and physical—a fun break from working in front of a computer.

As part of a team, we're in charge of thousands of little hand-lettered signs as well as the larger displays in the store. Organization skills and speedy completion of sign requests is a must. My years of display experience with Tower Records, as well as my freelance design work, have added a distinct mark to Trader Joe’s.
